You should always deal with the clan castle troops and the King before starting in with any troops that target specific things like defenses and loot (Giants, Balloons, Hogs, Golems and Goblins).
Kill Clan Troops with Lightning
It is always best to deal with the clan castle troops before dealing with the King, but if you get the King's attention in the process, that's even better.
Picking a location
If there is a wall that you need to bust through with a wall breaker and the wall breaker can be deployed really close to the wall, use one wall breaker to start the process of luring out the clan troops. If the wall takes two wall breakers to bust through, don't bother using a second wall breaker. Later you should deploy your giants at that very spot and they will finish off the wall in short order (unless they get distracted by a defensive building on the outside of the wall, in which case it is better to use a second wall breaker when luring out the clan troops). If you don't see a place where wall breakers can be deployed close to a wall, don't use them. Only use barbarians. Barbarians are better because they walk in closer and they are tougher to kill, lasting longer as they lure more troops out before they die. If wall breakers don't help you to pick a good spot to start luring them out, pick a location that is as close to the clan castle as possible. This will make the process go faster assuming there are small troops in the castle (archers, barbarians, goblins and minions). If you spot any heavy troops coming out of the clan castle (wizards, giants or dragons), you must change your strategy. Lightning won't kill those guys.
No matter what kinds of troops come out keep dropping barbarians one at a time until all the clan troops have come out of the castle. Always wait until the first one dies before deploying the second, but leave no time between the two. Be sure you have lured all the clan help out.
If you see no heavy troops, keep dropping barbarians in the same spot one at a time until you get all the clan troops bunched up as best you can, then drop lightning on them. It will hopefully kill them all. If it doesn't finish them off with archers, but move them out of reach of defensive buildings.
In the rare event you see giants, balloons or a pekka, (after you have made sure that you have lured everything out of the clan castle) find a place that is out of reach of defensive buildings to drop an archer to lure the clan help over to it and kill them with 4 minions. They will stand still while the minions kill them all, untouched.
If you see wizards or a dragon, find a place that is out of reach of defensive buildings to drop an archer to lure the clan help over to it. When the clan help gets over to the archer, drop as many archers and barbarians as it takes to kill them, but be sure to spread them out since both the dragon and wizards do splash damage.
Kill Barbarian King with Minions
One of the most efficient methods I've found to kill the Barbarian King is to use 4 minions. This only works if there were no heavy troops in the clan castle and you have no living troops on the battle field. If you haven't already gotten the King's attention, first get his attention with one unit (barbarian, goblin or wall breaker). A wall breaker can sometimes be a good choice when the wall is close by because it serves two purposes. It gets the King's attention and blows the wall at the same time. Then immediately drop an archer in a position where it can start shooting something but will not be killed by any defensive buildings. this brings the King out to the archer. When the King gets out of range of any defenses that can target air, drop 4 minions a little further out and the King will walk into them. The King will walk over to the archer and kill him. Let the King turn and start walking back to his home. Mean while your minions are bombing him with little black blobs of goo. When the King starts to raw your minions too close to something that could kill them, drop another archer. The King will turn around and come back to kill the archer. The minions should finish him off after he kills the second archer. If not, drop another archer.
If you were able to use a Wall Breaker in the beginning to draw him out, you should only lose 2 archers in the process. Pretty efficient. If you need to kill him faster, add more minions to the strategy. Once the King dies it's best to drop your giants ahead of the minions so they will stay alive, coming behind the giants.
Speed is always important. It takes time to do both of these tactics, so the faster you can pull this of the better.
